I Spy With My Little Eyes… Yes, It’s Books

Kathy, who often inspires me to read random, and sometimes unexpected books with her monthly themes, this time challenged me and some fellow bloggers with the I Spy Book Challenge. The aim is to find books with certain things on the cover or in the title, one for each prompt, within five minutes. To put my own spin on things, I decided to pick from books I own in a printed version.

Of course it took me ages, but here we go…1foodsinceyouvebeengone

Ice cream is one of the most important food groups, and a staple in my diet.

The story has actually nothing do with wolves.

The botched investigation that become known as “Six Four“.

Proper eye-candy.

Not the sort of beach where I’d like to chill…

Kittycat in the smoke.

Stephen King… I do feel very smug, yes.

I always wanted to live in a brick house with a fire escape.

I do love check shirts.

As an only child, I always wondered what it would be like to have a twin. Or a sister. Or a brother…

I’m not even quite sure what this book is about. A friend of mine gave it to me together with the first book, because I liked the cover.

I wonder what sweet tunes the bear is listening to. Also, Spud is one of my all time favourite series.

Well, this was a hard one because I don’t tend to read paranormal stuff. Couldn’t even find an English book that would be fitting. I’m not quite sure what this dude is supposed to be, but he’s ain’t normal-normal for sure.

Brandon Hackett is the pseudonym of Hungarian author Boton Markovics, in case you were wondering.

Don’t know about you guys, but I always hated maths.

A.k.a. ice cream and beach season.

Have  you guys read this? Creepy as fuck

It’s disaster time!

Wheat? Barley? Does it matter?

I’d love to see what Vera, Diana, Inge, Marina and Ova would find. Are you guys up for a challenge?

  1. This is the second time I’m tagged for this one 🙂 I’ll try to give it some (more) serious thought now ;-). You really nailed it and your pick for Royalty is quite brilliant, I wish I could come up with that! Any authors names Queenie ;-)? I think Since You’Ve Been Gone speaks to me the most, a cool summer read is exactly what’s missing from my reading pile 🙂

    1. Ah, i thought you might have been. Looked through your latest posts but didn’t see it.

Since you’ve been gone was so cute! Really summery too. I’ve been meaning to do a review since forever, but keep getting distracted by other stuff. I find it hard to review books i read as a physical copy…

  2. I’m always up for a challenge. 🙂 This one will require some digging on my part though as I am notoriously oblivious to book covers and don’t know most of the time of what those covers are…. so re-familiarisation will be needed he he. Thanks for the challenge, it sounds like a lot of fun!

BTW that cover of Wolves is absolutely amazing, I would actually frame it as art… even a book-cover savage such as myself is actually appreciative of it.. 🙂

    1. It is really pretty! I’m surprised there are not more book covers available as wall art 😀
I saw the rating of that book on goodreads tho and it’s around 3.2, so not sure what to make of that… got the book as a gift a while ago but haven’t read it yet.

      1. I seee. 3.2 is a bit low but who knows, ratings could be subjective. Fingers crossed… Plus there’s always that option of turning it into a wall art if that book is not meant to be… 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. Yay!!

It is, isn’t it… such a misleading book too! Up to like half i was like “well, nothing happens” and then shit just got out of hand pretty quickly… 😀

    1. Haha!
I literally had no choice. Don’t have that many physical books, and they are mostly crime/thrillers, and none of them had anything to do with any royalty. So Mr. King saved the day, again! 😀

  3. Thanks for tagging me Nora! I’ll do this this week- exciting 🙂
Funny I’ve picked up and looked at the first book you’ve picked for food yesterday in an Oxfam!

    1. As a cruel twist of fate i’m lactose intolerant, but i can never resist ice cream 😀
The wolf book looks so cool, but according to goodreads a story is rather a nope. Meh. Can’t have it all, i guess.

  5. Wow, and I thought Vera over at Unfiltered Tales came up with some great titles. Looks like I’ll have to do my own spin on this one. Eh, for tomorrow maybe! 😉
